Get off your butt and try extreme snowshoeing
Sitting on your couch this weekend? Why don't you try extreme snowshoeing instead. Check out some of the pics below and my extreme snowshoeing blog. Chances are you probably don't live to far from a mountain. Gas up than Pinto and head for the hills. Your snowshoeing adventure awaits.
I thought snowshoeing might be lame, even though I really like snow. I felt it would be a lot like hiking. I hike quite often, I'm really not really a huge fan. Snowshoeing is not hiking! Hiking sucks, snowshoeing rules!
Another thing you might like about snowshoeing, is the fact that their really isn't any bugs pestering you. This last summer I hiked around the non blasted side of Mt St. Helens. I felt like I was in the Jurassic period. The mosquitoes were so thick, my girlfriend and I had to run for several miles pretty much as fast as we could just to escape from being eaten alive. I haven't gotten into the sport of extreme mosquito feeding yet.
Moral of this hub's story? Go extreme - go extreme snowshoeing. Buy yourself some snowshoes online right now and go find some rocks to jump off. Be careful of course.
Have fun!

Nice pics man! Ive been looking at some different snowshoes online and aint sure about which ones to get, got any suggestions or advice?
Dumb, used to do stuff like that when i was ten. In the real world of snowshoeing/winter camping nobody would risk an injury for the same high i get playing uno. Try camping out there. You will love it.
What do you mean hiking sucks? Hiking is great!
I'd hike year 'round if I could but, here is Salt Lake City, UT, ya gotta break out the snowshoes in the Winter. So I do.
I won't bore you with the details of why hiking doesn't suck, but let me just say some of the hills I hike up are pretty extreme!
Wow that's some pretty extreme snowshoeing!
We also made a video of us and our clients mucking about whilst going snowshoeing and made a little video which we called Xtreme Snowshoeing as well. Check out the link.
